P Brothers

Ivory and DJ Paul-S are the production crew and DJ unit known as THE P BROTHERS and are held responsible for the Heavy Bronx record label, on which they’ve released 5 heavyweight EP’s. Outside of their own label, they have also produced records for Sadat X, The Herbaliser, Jhellisa, Scorzayzee, Microdisiacs, Rodney P, Mr 45, Rich Rockswell, & Donald D. They also produced the classic “Spaz the World” LP by Cappo.

As well as being Lethal Technicians on production, the P Brothers have DJ’d with acts such as Marley Marl, Craig G, Brand Nubian, Jeru, Ultramagnetic MCs, Smooth the Hustler, Big Noyd, Charlie Chase, Masta Ace, Mauritzio/Rock Steady Crew, Kool DJ Herc, and countless others.

Krispy

After getting together in ’87 to form Krispy, Microphone D.O.N. and Mr. Wiz would go on to be one of the UK’s most consistent duos, releasing their first track ‘Comin Thru Clear’ in 1989. They continually released tracks throughout the 90′s including abundant singles like 1991′s ‘Hip Hop Boy’, 3 EPs and 2 Albums – ‘Can’t Melt the Wax’ on Kold Sweat and the latest of which ‘From the Country’ which was released in 1999. Krispy also embarked on tours with the likes of Naughty By Nature and headlined their own shows as far a field as Germany, Austria, Switzerland and France. Due to keeping their profile reasonably high through releases, touring and frankly dropping slammin’ tunes, they have been able sell into Europe and be reasonably successful. From the earliest days they were lucky enough to link with Bomb records, who as a smaller independent label were able to give Krispy the freedom they needed to develop, but were also large enough to hook up the distribution.

Konny Kon

MC from Manchester. Member of the Microdisiacs. He co-hosts the Everytin’ Nice show on Manchester’s Unity Radio with Mikey Don (Krispy). One of Manchester’s finest by a long shot.

Cappo

Born and raised in Nottingham, Cappo first entered the world of hip-hop as a graffiti writer, and started rapping at an early age. By 95 he was rapping daily, and was one half of a two-man group. No releases, but the experience was enough to boost him to go for self, and he went on to do his first proper live show at Nottingham Carnival, summer ’97. Since then a regular on the Notts scene, and renowned for holding his own against any emcees, local or international: ‘Gotta touch a stage at least once a month’-type stuff. Not one to sit on his mic, Caps has been well busy on the production tip, and his ‘First Knight’ 3 track demo in summer ’98 was soon followed up by his self-produced self-financed 15 track demo album ‘The Cap Tape Volume One’, leading to an approach from SON, a track being featured on Disorda’s UK artist’s showcase ‘Mind The Gap’ series, and a four-star album review in HHC.
Since then he has released his first piece of vinyl, the ‘Cap 3000′ EP (SON 011) in September ’99, appeared on one of the best received tracks (‘That’s The Way It Goes’) on the Lost Island album ‘Forbidden Ground’ (SON 014) and the killer posse track ’7even’ on the recent Mad Doctor X ‘Project X 2′ EP. He has also released his first full length LP ‘Spaz the World’ on Brighton based label, Zebra Traffic.

Gescom

Beginning its activities in the early nineties, the shadowy Gescom collective has released material on Clear, Leaf, Chocolate Industries, Skam, Warp, Worm Interface, and Source labels.
Gescom exists as a platform for a number of aligned artists to work in various different combinations, whilst remaining otherwise-anonymous. Personnel in Gescom has varied from release to release and even track.
Gescom continues to operate and shift its identities.
